V - Testimony against Ir Gesher

The Lord commanded me, saying, "Live now a simple life, live as one who loves Me, finding satisfaction in the work of your hands. Find yourself simple pleasures; loving My Provision and living My Commandments."

And so The Lord provided me work, the simple labor of my own hands, and gave me peace and joy in His name. Then, the Spirit of The Lord again spoke to me, saying:

"My servant, who loves Me, raise your hand to the west, toward the city of a prideful and rebellious nation. Testify, and bear witness against it, so then I will pronounce My judgments upon it. Say to the city:

'Behold, City of the West,

the judgment of The Lord.

I am called to bear witness against you,

that you are full of violence and iniquity.

You have cast aside the Law of God written on your hearts,

and you have chosen to give yourself to your lusts.

Hear now, the judgment of The Lord,

that his power and wonders be seen in you.'"

So I lifted my hand, and testified to the city, bearing witness to its violence and iniquity.

O' City of arrogance, pride, and violence,

Have you not seen that The Lord has kindled a fire,

that a great and mighty fire is against you?

You have rejected God and not given Him what is due.

In you has been found much iniquity,

and you rebel only against God Most High.

You have profaned His Name and cast off His Laws.

You have erected your altars to yourselves.

His Statutes are no longer set in your hearts,

You have scoured them from their place.

You claim you progress man to godhood,

yet your shameful and selfish lustful desires,

these you have set up as your gods,

to bow down to and to serve.

Violence, immorality, and debauchery,

have become your acts of worship.

Thus says The Lord God,

"Behold, I will make an example of this city.

It will be as a judgment, and a warning.

I will raise my hand against it,

and you will know that I,

The Lord, have spoken.

I will show my power and wonders,

and will act to judge this city,

for it, and its nation, have turned from me.

"Lament for this nation,

for I had nurtured it from infancy,

I made it into a great and powerful empire

and it loved Me and My Word,

it spread its glory and proclaimed My Name,

but now it spits at My voice.

It denounces My Law and hates My name,

and so has become detestable to me."

"I shall strike this city." Says The Lord. "Then the people shall be astonished, but they will not return to me. They will not heed my voice, as they have lost themselves to their lusts and iniquities. I will demonstrate My Power in her, to make known her folly."

Thus says The Lord our God, whose name is Yahweh.

"Lift up your voice, O' witness, and I will carry it on the wind. It may be that some will hear and repent and turn to Me. Then I will spare that one from my judgment, they will come to love and know Me as their Father. And I will treat them as sons and daughters, and they will share in the inheritance of My Holy One. Pray for the nations, that they will turn to me and be spared."
