VII.II - Call to the Leaders of Israel: Still not Listening.

In the seventy-second year of Israel's third return to the land promised to Jacob, Abraham, and Isaac; in the sixth month on the fifth day,*1 the word of the Lord again came to me, saying: "Take down these words and send them to the Lady of the House of Israel. Their leaders have not learned from the history of their ancestors, they still have not listened to My servants the Prophets whom I sent to their forefathers, to tell them of all I have done and will do. Never once have I kept secret from them My council.

The word of Yahweh[יהוה‎] to Benjamin, Son of Benzion, the Leader of Israel;

“If you will not establish my name,

I will not establish your rule.

You will be thrown down and trampled,

as the dust of the streets.

I will strip you of your power,

and cause you to account for your iniquities.

Within two years, a reckoning will be had.

Israel has not passed its iniquity on,

it lay upon them as a moldy garment.

I will take that iniquity from them,

should they only accept My Provision.

See, even now, Israel falls away.

Israel has given itself to immorality,

each doing the dictates of their own hearts,

with no regard for their neighbor’s harm.

How long, O’ Israel?

How long shall you continue to rebel against Me?

How long will impurity reign in your hearts,

and your wickedness lead your actions?

you play harlot to the nations,

Your prophets say ‘We shall have peace!

We shall take our land of old!

We shall rule ourselves as our hearts' desire!’

Listen well, for I have not sent those

who say, ‘The Lord will make us secure.’

I have brought you out of the nations,

and set you in the land of your fathers

to incite the nations against you.

I have determined to bring you war and not peace.

But I shall deliver you,

those who seek the Holy One of Israel.”

Hear, oh leaders of Israel, the word of Yahweh, the God of the house of Israel.
